Premier Art Show Event Features Fine Craft, Music and Fun
June 19-20, 2010
SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio–The 25th annual “CraftFair at Hathaway Brown” is moving and improving! Ohio Designer Craftsmen has joined forces with the city of Shaker Heights and the Shaker Heights Arts Council to create an exciting outdoor community event, the “Shaker Heights Arts and Music Festival.”
Presented June 19–20, this premier juried event continues a long tradition of showcasing quality handcrafted jewelry, fine wearables, pottery, glass, paintings, yard art and more, by over 130 artists from the area and from 20 states, including Florida, California and Connecticut.
Attendees will discover new artists and find many of their favorites returning to this year’s show, including:
• Craig Zacharyasz—Using recycled copper, this Middleburg Heights artist creates fun and funky yard art, including frogs and praying mantises.
• Eve Greiner—Philadelphia artist Eve Greiner handcrafts fine jewelry using mixed metals and semi-precious stones.
• Elaine Lamb—A ceramist from Medina, Lamb creates highly decorative pottery. Her one-of-a-kind pieces are meant to be enjoyed through everyday use. All of her work is food safe.
• Denise Karbassi—Of Maryland, Karbassi uses a watercolor technique to handpaint colorful clothing with an exotic, contemporary flair.
• Michael W. Winston—Of Twinsburg, Winston creates his “floral dreamscapes” using nothing but magic markers—yes, magic markers!
• Judith Vierow—The paintings of Columbus artist Judith Vierow are bright and fun, a perfect addition to any home.
